  • Not customer oriented

19.04.17 at 1600 hrs. Went to U.S. Bank in Ralphs Moorpark Rd. Thousand Oaks, CA. 3 months Previously tried to get a 2k loan. This time the female said that it would not be feasible because they look at credit scores. My mom is rerouting her retirement direct deposits here. Did not know if the deposits were hitting in yet. Instead of the female pointing out to us that "your balance is xxxxx amt of $, why dont u take out a secured loan. That way since you have the funds, you can pay back the loan and establish credit for yourself. No, we found out by asking for a current balance that we... More...

  • Horrible Customer Service

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE – POOR FOLLOW-UP ONGOING DOCUMENTATION On 2/10/17 I called the credit card help line to inquire why I had received a credit card I did not ask for. I was greeted by an automated response telling my all agents were busy. 8 minutes later my call was answered. The agent began speaking before the connection was complete so I got a monotone garble and ‘what is your account number’. No hello. No how can I help you. No my name is. Just robotic ‘what is your account number’? Mind you it’s already been types in. Before I waited... More...

  • us bank, fraud department run around, money held hostage

Early in december I ordered new checks from us bank, the checks never arrived because they were stolen and later used to create a counterfeit check. Upon notification from the bank of over draft I called the fraud department, had the bank account frozen, a new one created and they sent me new checks only those were stolen as well. This time the checks were used and cashed. Again I got an over draft notification and went directly to the bank. When I got there I was was detained and treated like a criminal as if I did it. Once we got past that, I filled out two sets of paperwork on the... More...

  • USBank, 2290 South Parker Rd. Aurora, CO

I have banked with USBANK (formerly Bank Western) for 55 years. We have several accounts with them and have an average balance in total of 200,000.00 to 300,000.00 each month. When asked for a print out of activity on my account (Past the 3 month cutoff) they informed me it would be a charge of $6.00 per month. I am not a banker, however I know by them using my money, they are more than covering the cost of the paper and the ink (as the branch manager told me). LESS than satisfied with the manager and the customer service I received today. Planning on closing accounts and taking my money... More...

  • Worst bank ever.

I am tired of banks taking money, wrongfully, and pretending like they are doing you a favor. I opened a College Checking account with them 3 years ago in order to handle financial aid, first year went fine, then they started tacking on hidden fees, and started overdrafting me for things I never even bought. They refuse to even talk to be about it, all I receive is some rehearsed script about "how I should know the rules of OverDrafts." But as you can tell, this isn't really about overdrafts... They have started taking up being rude and bumptious to me, and anytime I... More...

  • Balance Inquiry Fees

My complaint is that if U.S Bank is going to suddenly charge me $2.50 for a BALANCE INQUIRY at a Kwik Trip which I have done hundreds of times before with no fee, then you should at the very LEAST pop up a message that says 'Hey by the way we changed our policies and didnt say it directly in our new policy changes but we're going to be taking the last $15 you have for looking at your balance and double checking in confusion and disbelief.' I'm living really tight right now from paycheck to paychecl so thanks for stealing the last of the money I had for food for 9 days... More...

  • US Contour Card

The absolute worst experience I have had with banking thus far. The Contour card is detached from the US Banking Branch so anyone working at a branch is unable to assist you. All they can do is call the same number that you can on the back of your card. Most tellers are unsure of what a contour card is and how to set one up. The total allotment allowed to be withdrawn per day is $1000 dollars, sure fine, but when you want to cancel your card and withdraw the remaining sum in full you're unable to. You must withdraw one thousand dollars a day in cash from an atm (in twenties I might... More...

  • Can't input data on accounts opened!

I have nothing but trouble with U.S. Bank and here to tell you to use another back. They are all very incompetent to do their job which just included listing my cell phone # as a cell phone # and therefore couldn't transfer funds to my daughters U.S. Bank student account by using the online app on my IPhone 6! This is the last straw, all they are capable of is screwing up basic information and trained to tell excuses and never hold themselves accountable for screwing up ALL the time!!! • Western Union Transaction

Until I had this incident and decided to complain, I didn't realize the very large number of complains that had been submitted already, now I see why. A teller (or manager) by the name Lindsay Leone at the IDS Center in Minneapolis fails to include a test question and answer on a western union transaction despite the fact that I provided the information, and instead of making me know that the system is not letting her put in that information, she ignores it and processes the request. When I finally notice it, she tries to put the blame on me. To make matters worst, another teller and... More...

This bank consistently nickel and dimes it's customers for any and every little thing. Don't even bother calling customer service because they cannot do anything for you! I have been a US Bank customer for over 30 years. My daughter recently went to the location in Des Peres, MO with a complaint about fees being charged to her account. When she spoke to someone on the phone, they admitted that they screwed up setting up her account in the beginning, but said a branch manager had to be contacted to straighten it out. We met with the manager and he basically put the blame on my daughter for not contacting them previously and would only refund $50 of the $450 in charges. • EXTREMELY poor business etiquette

To whom it may concern: This letter is to complain about customer service I recently received from US Bank located at: 2150 Chatsworth Blvd, San Diego, CA. I recently opened a Small Business Checking Account. Upon opening the account, it was explained to me that all checks deposited for the first 30 days will be subject to a 5 day hold. I was asked if I would like “Over Draft Protection”. My reply was “No, if the money is not available to me, I don’t want to be able to spend it”. • Word to the wise. stay away from US Bank.

Word to the wise. Stay away from #USBANK. They set a new low for worst customer service. 5 Years ago I bought a property out of state. I hired a contractor to make repairs. The contractor brought all the materials up to the front of a local Home Depot-like store (Menard's) and I made a payment to the sales associate via phone. The contractor then convinced the sales person to put the card on file for his contractor account. He then began to use the card on other jobs. We were running about $1M a month on the card for materials in 17 states and did not catch $40k in charges over a 4... More...

  • US Bank mortgage - IRRESPONSIBLE

U.S. Bank sent my mortgage refund check to my ex-husband, and he was able to cash it, because they made the check out incorrectly. I realize that they are not responsible for my dishonest ex-husband, but they are responsible for making the check payable to both of us since I am on the loan also. I should have had to sign the check too. I also made double payments, and instead of paying my principle down, they used it for the next month, so that they could take out over $1000 in interest. • Frustrated & Irritated

US Bank is the worst bank company ever!! In 2012 I was sent a letter by some lawyers that I needed to pay some fees. I paid the fees and was sent a letter with my paid status and a $0 balance. 6 months later in 2012, I was contacted by other lawyers that I was being sued from US Bank for the same thing! I am glad that I kept a copy of my payment and faxed over the $0 balance. It's been three years later and different lawyers are calling me about the same thing of US Bank!! I was trying to get help with my verification of my mortgage history on 3 separate occasions. Each time I was told they were sending it out. After two weeks of not receiving it, I called back to speak with someone about it. I was told they were waiting on a $20 payment. A payment they never once mentioned to me. I told them I could pay it over the phone. They advised they could only take a personal check. This is a bank, that could not use their own debit card to process a payment. For over a year, since US Bank went to its new online banking interface, there have been an alarming amount of issues that US Bank and in particular, its I.T, Department refuses to admit to. If you try to cancel or change a payment, a pop up arises announcing a "Builder Executive Error" and you cannot make any changes. Numbers disappear and reappear onto the wrong account. US Bank made an erroneous payment of over 26,000 dollars to Time Warner Cable from my wife's account and continued to insist it was user error. It was ludicrous. The I.T. I went to the local atm branch yesterday (the only one in my city) and noticed they have updated the machine, it now accepts cash or checks directly (not envelope deposits). Well, the machine ate a $100 bill and spit out an error receipt...I took that over to the counter, and was advised they would do nothing to help me, I would have to call an 800#. This bank has the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. They charge fees for every little thing possible. They have reoccurring over draft fees meaning they keep charging you every 5 days which is rediculous. They charged me 300 in fees for one accidental overdraft. Most banks would help and remove fees but US Bank will not help you ot work with you in any way shape or form. In 2009 I had a business checking account and credit card with US bank. In 2010 they closed my account with $1700. in it and closed my credit card with $1500. on it. They stole $200 from me. US Bank says that when you open an account with them that you authorize them to impose the levy laws of any state within which they have branches. While they say this is standard bank operating procedures they do this without statutory authority. There is no federal law or regulation allowing them to impose the laws of one state in another state but banks have been doing so forever. They allow other states to seize funds in your accounts without any law allowing them to do so. They will and have attached social security funds which is illegal under federal law. I just recently closed 4 accounts at US Bank. Three personal and one Business, and now took my accounts back to Bank of America. I am convinced that US Bank, has no interest in helping individuals with their basic banking needs, but rather would like to take as much money as they can via service fees and hidden charges. I banked with BofA for 12 years, and never had 1/10th of the problems I faced with US bank. I am not exaggerating when I say I have paid US bank $2000.00 in random fees in the span of 2 years.
